In school, she learned French, which inspired her to take it as a college major, together with neuroscience focusing on cellular and molecular neuroscience.  Naturally athletic and adventurous, Selin was also into physical activities, such as tennis, lacrosse, dance, gymnastics, and swimming. She was part of the state champions team for tennis at her alma mater, Harrington High School.

Aside from being a physician, Selin is also a seasoned marathoner. Through the years, she has also participated in the Disney Princess Half Marathon, Philadelphia Marathon Weekend, Lululemon SeaWheeze 2020 Half Marathon, and Rock ‘n Roll Half Marathons.

On this page, Selin Sakarcan aims to educate readers on podiatric medicine.  Because the feet and ankles are among of the most commonly used parts of the body, people must give these parts due attention.  For those with pre-existing conditions, learning how to take care of their feet and ankles will allow them to manage their health.

Readers can also expect blogs on sports medicine, personal training, running, and swimming, apart from Selin Sakarcan’s podiatry knowledge.  Amid the ongoing global health crisis, Selin believes it’s crucial to prioritize fitness and overall well-being.
